Fir Tree is served with three excellent restaurants (two within comfortable walking distance). All menus can be viewed in-house on your arrival, and permanent arrangements exist for prior booking.

Directions

The main access routes to The Greenhead are:

From the A68 travelling North, turn right at Fir Tree Corner, and follow the road for 500 yards towards Howden-le-Wear. The Greenhead is on your left.

From the A1(M), take the A690 through Durham to Crook, turn left at the traffic lights in Crook town centre towards Bishop Auckland and Howden-le-Wear. At the mini-roundabout junction in Howden-le-Wear turn right, towards Fir Tree. The Greenhead is ¾ mile on your right.
